holiday weekend, suckers

I somehow managed to fix the document feeder on our new printer by removing a piece of hardware that was CLEARLY supposed to be there.  I expect this to bite me in the ass sometime in the next 6 months when the thing catches on fire and I have voided the warranty.

So, um, how's your day going?

Fairly good. Just sitting at my desk trying to look like I'm busy.

Hope that machine doesn't catch fire. Can you still collect unemployement due to fire?

Not bad, except that my computer is running at abacus speed, and I got a wiener-shaped pork rind in my snackmachine breakfast. Eek.

Not good - i watched as an animal got run over on the freeway - but only the blow that injured so it couldn't move anymore, no more hope of escape, just waiting for the car that would kill it. Pretty much fucked me up.
